County: Belknap Scope of Work: Culvert Replacement (B58 storm project STM77692) Location: NH 11 Proposal Guarantee: 5% of bid amount The Project Will Replace an Existing 4 Wide X 6 High X 84 Long Stone/concrete Culvert Carrying an Un-named Perennial Stream Under Nh Route 11 at Approximately 225 East of Keewaydin Drive in Alton. A schedule of the minimum wages for all labor classifications as determined by the Secretary of Labor pursuant to Section 115 of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 is included in the proposal. Unskilled labor may be hired from lists prepared by the NH Department of Employment Security designated in the proposal. No Phone Calls or Faxes Will Be Accepted Project completion date is 6/26/2026 All individuals, firms, partnerships or corporations intending to bid, before obtaining plans and specifications, must file with the Department of Transportation on forms prepared for that purpose at least ten (10) days prior to opening of bids, a statement showing their qualifications. No valid bidding proposal will be issued to a prospective bidder who is not qualified. If contract price is $35,000 or more, the successful bidder will be required to furnish electronically, at the time of approval, a contract bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of their bid. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all proposals. NH DOT - Culvert Replacement, Carrying an Un - Named Perennial Stream Under NH Route 11 This report summarizes our geotechnical evaluation and recommendations for the culvert replacement project on New Hampshire Route 11 (NH11) in Alton. The project scope consists of replacing the entire existing box culvert with the same size reinforced concrete precast box culvert. The proposed box culvert will have a clear opening of 4.0 feet wide by 6.0 feet high with a 12-inch embedment. The proposed channel bed elevations range from El. 509.25 at the inlet to El. 508.80 at the outlet resulting in a proposed design slope of about 0.5 percent. Existing embankments are 2:1 typical, with grades ranging from 10H:1V to 1.5H:1V. Fills extend up to 50' outward from roadway centerline. Generally, the proposed roadway will be reconstructed at the same elevation as the existing roadway grades. Embankment slopes will be restored to existing condition. Guardrail will be replaced in approximately the same location
