Public Works and Government Services Canada, on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Canada, has a requirement for site remediation of the Pacific Environmental Centre (PEC) in West Vancouver, BC. This is the second phase (Phase 2) of a two-phase process. This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Canada, has a requirement for site remediation of the Pacific Environment Centre (PEC) in West Vancouver. Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items, removal of Existing Temporary Stockpile Cells on the east side of the Site (including disposal of the metals contaminated pooled water, berm soil, and liners) to allow for a Drilling Program to be completed by Canada prior to excavation, dismantle and remove the on-site transfer facility (including the asphalt floor, lockblock walls, and transfer facility support structure and covering), construction of a New Temporary Stockpile Cell, disposal of the existing Site trailer, a base amount of excavation, transport and disposal of 28,417 cubic metres of contaminated soil, an initial (“A”) optional amount of excavation, transport and disposal of 9,115 cubic metres of contaminated soil, and including all ancillary Work, covered further in the Contract. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 and $10,000,000.
