The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (Using Agency or 'BOR''), is seeking firms interested in providing construction management at risk services for a project known as Project, Lakeview Nursing and Dental Hygiene Renovation at Georgia Highlands College, Rome, Georgia. July 26th, 2024 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions All relevant and significant questions that have been submitted in writing via email prior to the deadline will be compiled, and answers will be posted to the project information on the Georgia Procurement Registry The proposed renovation of Lakeview Building will reconfigure and repurpose the building to provide Nursing and Dental Hygiene simulation labs, skills labs, a public-facing dental hygiene clinic, and related service functions that will enable the complete relocation of GHC's Nursing and Dental Hygiene programs to the Floyd Campus. An existing multipurpose room will be converted into modern general classroom space for these programs and general campus use. The scope also includes MEP system renewal and targeted building envelope upgrades. In addition to creating academic spaces with improved suitability, function and capacity, the project will also increase instructional efficiency and flexibility, enable improved student and faculty engagement, and enhance student access to support services. Project Delivery Method The delivery method for this Project will be construction manager at-risk (CM/GC), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent, in addition to the services of a CM/GC. Project Budget The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $8,300,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. The Design Professional's services are anticipated to commence by Fall, 2024, with construction documents anticipated for completion in Fall, 2025.
