Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in South Easton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Swift's Park Development project involves site improvements to a .3-acre parcel that is currently mostly lawn and a small amount of pavement. Site improvements include concrete walkways, low stone retaining walls, small plaza with stone pavers, lighting, water service, curbing, asphalt paving, low growing grasses, granite blocks with lettering, and associated earthmoving and grading. The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work are indicated in a set of drawings, entitled "Town of Easton, Massachusetts, Swifts Park Development." The Town of Easton will award the contract to the lowest eligible and responsible bidder. Please Note: this bid, contains Price Adjustments and Prevailing Wage requirements. All bidders are required to familiarize themselves with these terms and conditions before submitting a bid. The Contractor shall demonstrate at least ten (10) years' experience building and constructing public park projects in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Examples of public park construction shall be submitted with this bid. Failure to do so may results in the rejection of the bid in question. The contractor shall not interfere with any abutting business operations at any time. Bid Security: Certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Total Base Bid is required. Direct all inquiries to Stephanie Danielson, Director. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. Prevailing Wage Rates are included as an Appendix to the Contract Documents and must be considered when submitting a bid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within Ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance and Labor & Materials Bonds. Award of this Contract is contingent upon the appropriation and availability of funds. In the event that the funds are not appropriated or are otherwise unavailable, the Town reserves the right to terminate the procurement and any subsequent contract that may have been awarded. The Owner, being considered the sole judge, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids, including but not limited to non-responsive bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the Owner's best interest to do so. Award of the contract is subject to appropriation. ***Document Note: Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable. For addition to the project plan holder's list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent.
