The City of Norfolk ("City") is seeking a responsible vendor to provide water treatment coagulant aid polymer according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation All qualified bidders are invited to respond to this Request for Quotes ("RFQ") by submitting a quote consistent with the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein. The City will award this contract to up to three (3) responsive and responsible bidders. If bidders want to obtain water for testing prior to submitting the bid, please contact Water Treatment Supervisor at (757) 441-5678 for an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Twenty-four (24) hours' notice is required. The coagulant aid furnished under the resulting agreement shall be NSF 60 certified for use in potable water treatment. The City is currently using Clarifloc 3223 but has the need for other polymers due to changing water conditions. The estimated quantity is 18,000 lbs., with an expected delivery of 14,000 lbs. to the Moores Bridges Water Treatment Plant and 4,000 lbs. to the Kristin M. Lentz Water Treatment Plant. The product will be delivered in 50 lb. bags. The coagulant aid shall meet the following specifications: 1. High molecular weight 2. Medium charge density 3. Cationic 4. Dry, free flowing powder, free from lumps and foreign material 5. Bidders shall submit quotes, in accordance with the RFQ requirements and maintain compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. The contents of the quote of the selected Bidder(s) will be incorporated and made a part of any City contractual obligation when the award(s) is made.
