Develop a design that maximizes the exisfing floor plan and drains while also adhering to the minimum acceptable standards for kennels outlined in the Associafion of Shelter Veterinarians' Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters. i. The kennels shall be constructed of durable material that prevents escape, can withstand frequent sanitafion, and is not damaged by scratching or chewing, such as stainless steel. Of these, at least ten (10) kennels must be covered to prevent dogs from climbing or jumping out. ii. All kennels must be centered over a drain. iii. Each kennel must be aftached to the concrete floor in a manner that prevents crossenclosure contaminafion and allows panel-leveling adjustments to be made to the floor slope. iv. Transfer doors shall include a pulley mechanism with braided steel cable.
