Renovation of a water / sewer project in White Rock, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
BC Hydro will be replacing their end-of-life 480V pad mounted transformer at 1444 Oxford Street in White Rock, BC. This transformer supplies 3 municipal ground water wells pumps in 480V power. The new pad mounted transformer will supply BC Hydro’s standard 600V to the pump house. This work is to upgrade the building power distribution system to meet the new BC Hydro 600V incoming service and convert to 480V to serve existing 3 well groundwater pumps. This includes converting the existing on-site emergency generator power output from 480V to 600V. The 3 groundwater wells are critical to meeting water demand in the municipality therefore continuous power is required to maintain well operation. Rental of portable backup generator and diesel fuels should be included in this work to maintain continuous well pump operation.
