The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Approximately 700 lineal feet of private street, 550 lineal feet of 8" diameter gravity sanitary, and 600 lineal feet of 12" diameter storm sewer, including restoration and appurtenant work. Drawings, bidding Project Manuals, and Addendums will be issued only to Bidders who have been pre-qualified by the City of Marshall in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Drawings and Project Manual are available at no charge at the offices of VK Civil for prequalified bidders, after 8:00 a.m., July 10, 2024. PDF's of the Drawings and Project Manual will be emailed at no charge to prequalified bidders. Any conclusions or information obtained or derived from electronic media will be at the user's sole risk. VK Civil's responsibility is limited to only the printed copies (also known as hard copies) that are delivered pursuant to the service under the contract with the client. The project shall be completed by November 22, 2024. The work to be performed under these contracts will be financed and paid for by funds received from the City of Marshall, Calhoun County, Michigan and by Allen Edwin Homes. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the City of Marshall in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days thereafter. The owner reserves the right to award each location to individual bidders or the entire project to a single bidder.
