Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a civil project in Temecula, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Increasing the capacity and reliability of the existing Carancho Pump Station facility, which includes, but not limited to, replacing one (1) existing pump with a new 300 HP vertical turbine pump, installing two (2) new 300 HP vertical turbine pumps in the spare pump cans, and reusing one (1) existing 350 HP pump to provide a firm pumping capacity of 4,200 gpm [firm capacity is defined as capacity with three (3) pumps running and one (1) on standby]; constructing a new suction pipeline header, isolation valve, individual pump suction lines and isolation valves, and discharge lines and check and isolation valves and all appurtenances; constructing approximately 500 linear feet of a new 24-inch diameter cement mortar lined and coated steel pipeline in the concrete driveway, a temporary bypass pipeline, and removal of the existing 12-inch discharge pipeline; installing two (2) new surge tanks, air compressor, and associated piping and equipment including demolition of the existing surge tank; electrical improvements including a new 1,250 kW generator, discharge side flow meter, controls, conduits, wires, antenna, and transformer pad; demolition of the two (2) existing steel tanks; and miscellaneous site improvements for a complete and functional pump station in accordance with the project plans and specifications and all other applicable technical and administrative provisions. Other Details All bidders shall have experience as a General Contractor in the construction of large municipal pump station facilities and related work. All bidders shall have successfully completed at least two (2) similar projects including civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical work for a municipal pump station within the last five (5) years with a contract value of no less than $4,000,000 (four million dollars). The two representative projects shall be documented and submitted, with available references, as part of the Contractor's bid forms (See CONTRACTOR INFORMATION AND EXPERIENCE FORM, Item. C - List of Completed Projects - Last Five Years, provided herein). Failure to submit the representative projects at the time of bidding that meets all of these minimum requirements will result in a non-responsive bid by the Contractor. A non-responsive bid will be rejected and not considered for contract award. Notes Since this Project is funded in whole or in part with funds from the United States Department of the Treasury [American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding Agreement], the work must also comply with the minimum rates for wages for laborers and mechanics as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act.
