The purpose of this ITB is to establish a contract for Commerical Kitchen Exhaust Hoods Cleaning Services with the Jefferson County Commission on behalf of the current and future members of the Purchasing Association of Central Alabama (PACA). a. Disassembly, cleaning, and degreasing hoods, including hood filter tracts, grease troughs, and removable grease cups. b. Removal of roof and/or wall mounted fans from ductwork to degrease the base, shroud, and blades. c. Inspecting exhaust fans for loose or worn-out fan belts. d. Must have your own tank/water supply as hook-up may NOT BE AVAILABLE. e. Cleaning and degreasing all hood filters, hood parts and accessories, and replacing if necessary. f. Cleaning all accessible parts of ductwork from exhaust fans to each individual hood. g. Applying food-safe polish to stainless steel ductwork. h. Thoroughly clean all affected areas (remove plastic, mop, remove any debris, etc.) i. Two (2) hour timeframe for completing per exhaust hood. j. Providing a complete, detailed written report of all work performed, and deficiencies in the exhaust system, and recommendations for addressing any problems. k. Attaching a certificate and/or sticker of performance showing company name, person performing the work, and date of cleaning to each hood cleaned. All addenda shall become part of the ITB. Any contract resulting from this ITB will become effective upon bid award (or within 30 days of award notification, approval of the Jefferson County Commission and purchase order is issued). The Jefferson County Commission may offer a one (1) year contract with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms or a three (3) year contract. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid.
