Demolition and site work for a residential development in Blue Springs, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualities companies capable of demolishing two abandoned houses owned by the City of Blue Springs. The RFP states the overall scope of services desired and specific functionality as well as required vendor qualifications. This RFP provides prospective companies with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit proposals for consideration by the City of Blue Springs, Missouri (hereafter referred to as "the City") to satisfy the needs as outlined in the scope of services. The selected vendor will demolish two abandoned houses owned by the City of Blue Springs, legally dispose of materials from the demolition, and backfill, grade, and seed the open lot to finish grade. The houses are located at 1850 NE R.D. Mize Rd. Blue Springs, MO 64014 and 714 NW Zaun Ave. Blue Springs, MO 64015. The term of the agreement will be for the job to be started and finished as soon as possible once the bid is awarded and contracts signed. The selected vendor will work with Parks and Recreation staff to determine appropriate times to complete the work. with minimal disruptions to the golf course operations. All questions must be submitted in writing to Derek Mayden, Superintendent of Parks, Buildings, and Grounds, no later than 1:00 P.M. (CST) on July 19, 2024 via email dmayden@bluespringsgov.com. The City will respond to all questions by the end of day on July 22, 2024 from Respondents online. Prevailing Wage and Performance Bonds Any proposal response that is over $50,000 is subject to providing payment bonds at the expense of the Contractor and should be included in the price submitted. Any proposal that is over $75,000 must adhere to prevailing wage guidelines. Should prevailing wage be required the prevailing wage rate for this proposal shall be Wage Order 31 for Jackson County, Missouri. This is a one-time contract and is not renewable for any future work with the City of Blue Springs. This contract is for this specific job and this specific job only. Any changes to the scope of work must go through the project manager before the task is completed for approval. The City reserves the right to: a) reject any or all proposals, or to make no award, b) require modifications to initial proposals, c) make partial or multiple awards, or d) further negotiate costs submitted in proposals. The City reserves the right to award the contract in any manner deemed in the best interest of its citizens. REJECTION OF PROPOSALS: The City of Blue Springs, Missouri reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received in response to this RFP, or to cancel this RFP if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. Failure to furnish all information or to follow the proposal format requested in this RFP may disqualify the proposal. Any exception to the Scope of Work must be identified in the proposal.
