As of August 22, 2024, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. Village of West Dundee, Kane County, Illinois, does hereby invite Proposals for a Steel Planter Box Fencing Replacement for the Village of West Dundee, IL. Further information concerning this process may be obtained by contacting the Department of Public Works at (847) 551-3815. o Remove and dispose of existing steel fencing. o Install new railing as follows: Install thirteen (13) steel railing panels with dimensions of eleven feet eight inches long/wide by two feet tall/high (11'8" x 2'), and one (1) steel railing panel with dimensions of eleven feet long/wide by two feet tall/high (11' x 2'). All steel tubing shall be 1/8-inch wall thickness The 3/8 by 3/8 square portions shall be solid steel. o Apply Sherwin Williams "ProCryl" primer or other pre-approved paints and two (2) coats of Sherwin Williams "SherCryl" black gloss paint. Application of Paint. The contractor shall apply each coating or paint and primer in accordance with these specifications and the paint manufacturer's recommendations. All paint shall be applied in strict accordance with the applicable manufacturer's printed data sheet and container label outlining recommended minimum and maximum surface and air temperatures required for application. o Remove and dispose of all material and debris related to the project.
