The City of Clarksburg Sanitary Board is accepting sealed bids for one (1) year supply of Liquid Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, and Sodium Permanganate for operations at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located on West Fork Street of Clarksburg, West Virginia. Approximately sixty (60) tons of Liquid Chlorine in one (1) ton cylinders, twenty-three (23) tons of Sulfur Dioxide in one (1) ton cylinders, and ten (10) two hundred fifty (250) gallon tote deliveries of Sodium Permanganate to be delivered to the Clarksburg Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1 West Fork Street, Clarksburg, WV, during a one (1) year period. The Liquid Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, and Sodium Permanganate furnished shall be of a quality suitable for use in sewage treatment and all containers shall be furnished by the successful bidder in a clean and safe condition. Two (2) lead washers must be provided with each cylinder of Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide. The above quantity of Liquid Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, and Sodium Permanganate to be purchased is the best available estimate. However, the Sanitary Board reserves the right to adjust the actual quantities to be purchased in accordance with the Liquid Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, and Sodium Permanganate during the contract period. All bids shall show the net cost per hundred pounds for the Liquid Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide. All bids shall show the cost per gallon for the Sodium Permanganate delivered to Clarksburg, WV. Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide shall be delivered in one (1) ton cylinders. The delivery of one (1) ton cylinders shall be to the Chlorine Storage and Sulfur Dioxide Buildings of the Clarksburg Wastewater Treatment Plant located on 1 West Fork Street in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The Sodium Permanganate shall be delivered in ten (10) 250-gallon totes as needed. The Sodium Permanganate shall be a twenty percent (20%) liquid sodium permanganate solution. Sodium Permanganate shall be delivered to the Solids Disposal Building of the Clarksburg Wastewater Treatment Plant located on 1 West Fork Street in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Any questions in reference to the specifications should be referred to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Drew Eddy at 304-624-1626. The Sanitary Board has the right to reject any bids and waive any bid informalities. The Sanitary Board also has the right to award the bid in any manner as considered by the Sanitary Board to be in the best interest of the Board or the citizens of Clarksburg.
