Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Avon, Connecticut. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

This project consists of the construction of a new one-story maintenance facility with an administrative office core and a minimum of 16 vehicle bays (2 of which will also be wash bays). The existing building will be selectively renovated to remain for cold/warm storage of vehicles and equipment. The project will also be constructed as “solar ready” to permit solar panels to be installed on the building. The site will also be reconstructed as a part of the project. As of April 16, 2025, this project is in the design phase and is being designed in house. Funding is allotted for FY 2025. Construction is expected to start in the fall. *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
