Municipality of Roblin (the Owner) is issuing this Tender for the construction of a compacted clay liner waste disposal cell and a compacted clay liner leachate evaporation pond. The Location of the Project is the Roblin Waste Disposal Ground (WDG) at SE 29-26-28 WPM north of Roblin, Manitoba. The construction of will generally consist of: a) Strip topsoil and earth excavation to the excavation grade, including stockpiling of excavated materials. b) Using excavated materials, construct Compacted Clay Liners in waste disposal cell and leachate evaporation pond cell, to thickness and hydraulic permeability specified in the design drawings. c) Construct granular surface roadways as shown on the design drawings, including perimeter drainage ditching. d) Construct a leachate swale and vertical sump (manhole) for the waste disposal cell, with geotextile, drainage aggregate, and HDPE pipe. e) Place topsoil and seed disturbed areas, perimeter drainage ditches and top of berm and outer berm slopes. f) Miscellaneous work including surveying, excavation/grading of ditches, construct berms, ramp into waste cell, cell berm excavation and construction, earth and road excavation, and miscellaneous erosion control measures. g) Provisional work if directed by the Owner/Engineer includes, installation of four-strand barbed wire perimeter fence, supply and install of sand-filled (permanent) traffic barriers, supply and assembly of moveable litter fencing.
