Site work for a mixed-use development in Warner Springs, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
PROJECT: Oak Grove Septic System Cleveland National Forest All contractor questions shall be submitted electronically via email to the Contract Specialist. Robert Archer, Contract Specialist to Robert.Archer@usda.gov The Cleveland National Forest is seeking a qualified and licensed contractor for the replacement of the septic tank, distribution lines, and install a horizontal seepage pit for the Oak Grove Fire Administration Office located at 1131301400, Warner Springs, CA 92086. A bigger septic system is needed to accommodate the growing number of people that use the facility. The existing septic system was recently inspected and determined that the septic tank interior baffle wall had deteriorated and can no longer promote the separation of solids from liquid. Therefore, failure in the baffle wall is causing solids to enter the drain lines and into the drain field - there are no reports of drain field failure. As a result, sewage is being pumped periodically from the septic tank, to address health and safety concerns, while allowing the continuous use of the office. Contract work will address the issue at Oak Grove Fire Administration Office by replacing the old septic tank with a new 4,000-gallon bio concrete precast septic tank. Work is also to include: o Pumping of existing 1,000-gallon septic tank. o Removal and disposal of existing septic tank and contents.* o Removal and disposal of existing drain line from the district office over to the leach field tie-in.* o Provide and install new 4,000-gallon septic tank. o Provide and install two manhole extension collars with manhole lids. Manhole extension collars should be (24-36 inches) based on the depth that the septic tank is buried. Manhole covers shall extend about 4 inches above finished ground grade. o Provide and install approximately 690 linear feet of distribution ABS piping. Replace distribution piping from the district office to the septic tank and from septic tank over to the tie-in for the drain field. o Provide 4 inches of fill material for trench bedding for distribution line. (3'x690'x6"). Also provide 12 inches of bedding material for septic tank placement (approximate dimensions 92" x 199" x 82"). o Saw cut asphalt and dispose of waste (approximately 3 feet wide by 30 feet in length). Total Small Business Set-Aside IAW FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude of the Construction Project - Between $25,000 and $100,000. Important Notes: Refer to complete continuation pages for bid schedule, scope, specifications, exhibits, and all other information and terms. Section A provides proposal submission instructions and requirements and Site Visit information Section B.2 provides notes on the bid schedule and bid submission. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
