Site work for a water / sewer project in Hamilton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bidders should address all questions to Neil Bond at the District, 513-863-0828 ext-230, bondn@swwater.org. A. The work of this contract comprises the general construction for the installation of extensions and improvements to the existing water system, owned and operated by the Southwest Regional Water District, Hamilton, Ohio, in accordance with the plans, specifications and bid proposal forms. B. Contractor shall furnish and install, test and place into operation the improvements and related appurtenances necessary to provide a complete and operational system in accordance with the design indicated by the plans, specifications and contract documents. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to the District, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Southwest Regional Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding. The Bid Guaranty, in bond form, upon acceptance of the Bid, shall constitute a Performance and Payment Bond. If the Bidder submits a 10% bond, a Performance and Payment Bond (in the form included in the Bid Book) in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the District, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. TIME OF COMPLETION NOTE: The one-year warranty of the restoration will start after the District approves that the restoration has been done to their satisfaction. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OF THIS AGREEMENT. In the event of an unjustified delay in completion of the work, liquidated damages shall be deducted from any sums remaining unpaid under the Agreement, or from any retainage. The amount of liquidated damages shall be $200.00 per calendar day.
