Site work for a civil project in Atlanta, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
AH needed to install improvements on the detention pond to increase the pond's capacity and upgrade the drainage structures. A civil engineer was contracted to prepare the construction drawings that the general contractor utilized to begin construction. During construction, rock was located at the bottom of the pond and as a result of the rock, the embankment slopes could not be constructed at the slopes specified in the construction drawings. Atlanta Housing directed the engineer to prepare a design modification based on the sub-grade condition found. The remaining work that needs to be completed is the subject of this Invitation for Bids. In evaluating this IFB, AH will determine the responsibility of each bidder and whether a particular bidder can complete the Work in the shortest time frame, which time frame shall not exceed one hundred eighty (180) days from the NTP, as set forth in t his IFB. Site walkthrough description: All interested firms must attend one of the project site visits. Failure to attend may subject your Firm to disqualification. AH will not provide transportation to or from the site.
