The Cumberland Community Improvement District is seeking construction firms, specializing in park rehabilitations, for Phase I of the Paces Mill Palisades Unit Rehabilitation project. for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the Paces Mill Unit CRNRA Phase I Improvements The Paces Mill Palisades Unit is the southernmost unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA), National Park Service (NPS) site located along the Chattahoochee River in Cobb County, Georgia, directly adjacent to Fulton County. The Paces Mill Palisades Unit Rehabilitation project is a formal partnership between NPS and the CCID that includes agreements for Design, Construction, and Philanthropic Support. The project consists of a new, realigned entry road, removal of existing and construction of a new surface parking area, a large meadow area will replace the existing parking area, there are two large bioswales located in the center of the new parking area, and the entry road will terminate at a new drop-off zone near the main existing boat ramp. The project also includes wood deck river overlooks, site furnishings, two new electronic pay stations, fencing, timber guardrail, landscaping, stormwater and sanitary utility work, as well as construction of a new potable water line.
