Request for Pre-Qualification for Tender: Excavation Concrete Restoration Masonry Miscellaneous Metals/Ornamental Damp proofing & AVB Stucco & Plaster Exterior metal flashing Doors/Hardware Mechanical Electrical Weeping Tile The project generally consists of the following scope: Exterior conservation and structural stabilization of all aspects of the North, South, East and West facades of the Manitoba Legislative Building (MLB) including heritage masonry (Tyndall stone) repair, replacement, restoration, and masonry cleaning work. Installation of a new waterproof membrane, replacement of stone and masonry as required, repointing of deteriorated mortar joints and reinstatement of metal flashing. The Porticos, columns and entablatures, pediments including lion heads, etc., will require conservation intervention to repair and pin select stonework, conservation treatment and cleaning. Restoration of all exterior entrance stairs and landings (granite), remedial repair to the waterproof membrane, repointing of deteriorated mortar joints and repointing of the limestone abutments. Window conservation at all four facades (to be determined). Dismantling, cataloguing, repair, and reconstruction of masonry required at the cornice or wall parapets. Restoration, manufacture, and replacement of all cast iron elements (balconies/lamp standards) and associated electrical work with the reinstatement of the light standards. Hard and soft landscaping, including restoration of the landscape stairs and landings to the North, East and West of the MLB and other limestone features in the landscape. Localized mechanical and electrical works. Provision of access, including scaffolding, raised working platforms, and materials to enable and complete the work.
