Value: $ 800,000.00 The project consists of demolition and removal of the existing water softening plant, which includes removing and disposing of underground and above ground water storage steel tanks, tank foundations, associated piping, valves, concrete vault, as shown on the contract plans, backfilling and compaction, and in accordance with the project specifications. SCOPE OF WORK Work under this section shall consist of performing all earthwork required during removal and disposal operations of underground and above ground water storage tanks, tank foundations, salt storage basin, concrete vaults, associated piping, valves, and pumps. Grading of work site shall be performed to achieve a finished surface elevation to match the adjacent surface elevation and include providing import soil materials as required to restore surfaces match the adjacent surface elevation. Contractors bid shall include excavation and recompaction of existing native soil material within the limits of removal, per plan and these specifications. Excavated and import soil shall be moisture conditioned to near optimum moisture content and compacted using maximum 6 lifts to 90% minimum relative compaction.
