Renovation of a transportation facility in Longmont, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified and capable contractors to submit offers for a door replacement project located in Longmont, Colorado. This procurement is being set aside for a small business under NAICS code 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, which has a small business size standard of $45.0 Million. Estimated size of this project: Between $750,000 and $1,000,000. Work included in project: 1) Replace doors and hardware sets for 75 interior doors (21 double door leaves, 53 single door leaves, and one open double door frame). Approximately 15 of the doors will require new door frames. 2) Replace 340 key cores and update mast keying system. 3) Provide and install hardware, supplemental equipment, and sofware for doors. 4) Remove and reinstall site specific hardware associated with existing door assemblies back to original configurations (most door are electronically secure with key readers). _______________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT DATES / TIMES (SEE ATTACHED RFO COVER LETTER & RFO SECTIONS L & M FOR COMPLETE DETAILS): RSVP FOR SITE VISIT BY EMAILING BOTH JOSEPH CRABTREE (joseph.crabtree@faa.gov) AND KENTARO TOURANGEAU (kentaro.j.tourangeau@faa.gov). OFFERS DUE BY 5:00PM MOUNTAIN TIME, THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2024 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Criteria #2: Contractor Past Performance. 1a) Prime Contractor - Provide at least two (2) past performance surveys (RFO Attachment #3) filled out by previous customers of the prime contractor (offeror) on projects similar in size, scope, and complexity, to the work described in this RFO. The Government may use information obtained from other-than the sources identified by the offeror. Performance information obtained may be used for both the responsibility determination and the best value decision. 1b) Door Contractor (if prime not performing door work) - Provide at least two (2) past performance surveys (RFO Attachment #3) filled out by previous customers of your proposed door subcontractor on projects similar in size, scope, and complexity, to the work described in this RFO. The Government may use information obtained from other-than the sources identified by the offeror. The Government will rate the contractor/subcontractor based on information in the following areas: 1. Safety. 2. Ability to manage project cost (i.e., minimize change orders). 3. Ability to maintain project schedule (i.e., completion within allotted contract time). 4. Efficiency in project coordination and scheduling of trades. 5. Administrative responsiveness (communication with Government, prompt payments to subcontractors, etc.). 6. Ability to follow customer's rules and regulations (contract requirements, building codes, specific policy, etc.). 7. Closeout Process. 8. Overall customer satisfaction
