Project Rose Xing to Glacier Airport will remove all the existing pavement in the existing travel lanes and select center turn lanes and shoulders and replace with new pavement, as shown in the plans. The entire roadway width will receive a seal and cover, and fog seal. Other work will include reconstruction of US-2 and Rose Crossing East and West (at the Rose Crossing intersection), surfacing replacement at the MCS Scale site, new pavement markings, signing and delineation upgrades, electrical work (at Rose Crossing and Birch Grove Rd intersections), ADA upgrades (at Rose Crossing intersection), and shoulder rumble strips. The project is located northeast of Kalispell on U.S. Highway 2 (N-1), starting just south of Rose Crossing (reference post 125.3) and extending north for 4.0 miles, ending just south of the Glacier Park International Airport (reference post 129.3).
