Site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in York, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a 18,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
New 18,000 SF classroom addition along with a stand alone 7,000 SF PEMB Gymnasium, and modular storm shelters. Includes sitework, concrete, structural steel, interior finishes, gym equipment and striping, and MEP. General Contractors wishing to bid on this project shall meet the following minimum provisions regarding responsibility, in addition to all other requirements listed herein: Contractor shall have constructed not less than one project of similar size and complexity within the last five (5) years, with similar costs prorated for construction cost increases and Contractor shall be capable of 100% bonding of materials and 100% bonding of labor. All General Contractors wishing to bid shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience doing business under the same firm name in which the bids are submitted. Joint venture contracts will not be approved. Each General Contractor bidding on this project will be required to demonstrate that his major Subcontractors are capable of pre-qualifying under the same conditions stated above Although a firm timeline has not been confirmed, construction is not expected to start prior to to late August 2024. Completion is expected to take one year. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
