The work of providing labor, equipment, and material for the York Sewer System Rehabilitation Project - Contract 1- Sewer Lift Stations Upgrade Project - CWSRF Project NO. CS011006-02. The principal items of work are detailed herein below: 1. Upgrade Five (5) Sewer Lift Stations with Pumps, Control Panels; Valve Assembly and Miscellaneous Items. 2. Electrical Connections. 3. Installation of By Pass Piping at Various Lift Stations. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the office of Owner, The City of York 607 2nd Avenue, York, AL 36925 The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible and responsive Bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the Bids. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 280 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed if Contract Time is Exceeded. The Contractor May Apply for an Extension of Time In Accordance With the Provisions of the Contract; However, Such an Extension Must Be Approved Prior to the Contract Completion Date to Avoid the Imposition of Liquidated Damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided through CWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Funds).
