Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Devens, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Work includes full reconstruction of an existing intersection roadway, installation of a new stormwater collection and management system, installation of new curb and sidewalk, repaving of roadway within the project limits, grading and landscaping. Bidders must be prequalified by MassDOT. Scope of Work. The Work consists of the Work identified in the Contract Documents. The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, approvals, paperwork, calculations, submittals, and certificates necessary to develop, construct and complete the Work in accordance with all Laws, and all construction and other services required to be supervised, overseen, performed or furnished by Contractor or that the Contract Documents require the Contractor to cause to be supervised, overseen, performed or furnished. The Contractor shall provide and perform for the Contract Price all of the duties and obligations set forth in the Contract Documents. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Site preparation to strip topsoil where appropriate and take other actions as needed to prepare the site for construction. 2. Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control devices downstream from all excavation locations. 3. Milling (2.00in) and overlay (2.00in) of approximately 5,000 square yards of existing pavement. 4. Install approximately 3,700 square yards of full depth pavement roadway 5. Install approximately 1800 linear feet of new 5.0-foot wide, 3.5-inch minimum thickness, bituminous concrete sidewalks 6. Install six (6) cement concrete wheelchair ramps to minimum ADA standards. 7. Install approximately 1,600 linear feet of 12in DI water pipe plus three (3) hydrant assemblies. 8. Install vertical granite curbing (type VA-4) 9. Construct three (3) infiltration basins and four (4) rain gardens. 10. Install 12-inch, 18-inch, 24-inch and 30-inch RCP (CL IV) drain pipe, catch basins with hoods, manholes and flared end sections with stone for pipe ends; 11. Installation of approximately 600 linear feet of vegetated swale. Swales and basins will be lined with Native New England basin grass species. 12. Grading, loam and seed as required, line striping, cleanup and disposal of any surplus materials and other activities as may be required to perform the work.
