Baltic Road Area Sewer Improvement Project For the Division of Water for the Department of Public Utilities, as Authorized by Ordinance 1026-2023. Passed November 13, 2023. Doc Notes Bidders must be on the to submit a bid or receive any addenda. Out- of area bidders may email requests to receive plans and specifications to, Purchasing@city.cleveland.oh.us. In the email request please include your company 's UPS Account number , full company's name and address , company's contact / representative full name, contact telephone number, facsimile telephone number and email address. The UPS delivery charges for the plans and specifications will be billed to the bidder's company UPS account number provided. Scope of Work This project consists of replacing approximately 2,103 ft of combined sewer on Baltic Rd from West 106 St to West Blvd, 1,000 ft of combined sewer on West 103 St from Baltic Rd to Clifton Blvd, 1,024 ft of combined sewer on West 102 St from Baltic Rd to Clifton Blvd and 569 ft of combined sewer on Nanford Rd from West 102 St to Baltic Rd. During the installation of the new main sewer on Baltic Road, the existing main sewer on the south side tree lawn should remain active to service the properties. All additional work required to keep this sewer active including sewer pumping, sewer bypass, etc. should be performed by the contractor under the pertinent sewer items at no additional cost to the City. Pavement paint striping restoration is required on Baltic Rd west of West Blvd, and West 102 St and West 103 St at Clifton Blvd. The restoration will be will be performed by the contractor under the pertinent pavement items at no additional cost to the City. The contractor is required to submit as-built plans and a videotaped copy of the new sewers at the completion of the project. The contractor is required to obtain a street opening permit prior to the sewer excavation. Medium Set (MS) Concrete is to be used for Pavement Restoration under Item 400. Location: Division of Water Pollution Control 12302 Kirby Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44108 All questions should be submitted in writing to the Division of Purchases and Supplies: Email: Purchasing@clevelandohio.gov Fax: (216) 664-2177 The last day for questions is 5 business days following the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting, by the close of business. WORK INCLUDED This work shall consist of replacing pavement in the sewer trench upon the completion of sewer reconstruction. This work shall include: saw cutting the existing pavement for the trench, removing the existing pavement and subbase, installing hook bolts, baskets, joints, dowels; placing aggregate subbase, placing concrete base, applying curing compound, and placing asphalt and tack coat. The cost for this work will be included in the unit price for this Item. The cost of placing and removing temporary pavement over the sewer trench/work area is to be included in the unit bid price for this item at no additional cost to the City of Cleveland.
