Renovation of an educational facility in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Owner will issue a "Notice to Proceed" to the successful bidder. The successful bidder may take possession of that portion of the site covered under this contract upon execution of the Agreement. PROJECT: Parapet Repairs Old Beecher High School 1020 West Coldwater Road Flint, Michigan 48505 Bidders are required to be prequalified for this Project. Submit AIA Document A305 to be considered. Hazardous Materials Abatement will be completed prior to possession by the successful Bidder. The existing structure has been surveyed for hazardous substances and has been found to contain certain contaminants as part of the Phase II Environment Site Assessment completed earlier. The Owner's consultant has prepared a Due Care Plan under which the successful Bidder will be required to operate in response to these conditions. Bidders must be able to furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder. The amount of each bond shall be equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. Include in the Bid Sum the cost to furnish such bonds. On the Bid Form, identify the bond costs as a separate line item. If the Owner requires that the bonds be secured from other than the Bidder's usual sources, changes in cost will be adjusted as provided in the Contract Documents. If required, the Bidder shall deliver the required bonds to the Owner not later than three days following the date of execution of the Contract. Direct questions concerning bidding documents to the Architect. Bid Security will be required in the sum of 5% of the bid. This sum is to be indicated as a separate number on the Bid Form. Bids submitted shall remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. The Owner and Architect reserve the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all Bids in whole or in part, or to accept a Bid which, in their opinion, will serve the Owner's best interest. . No requests for clarification will be accepted after the close of business on July 31, 2024 at 3:00 PM All questions relative to service requirements shall be written and submitted by email to Tyrone McCloud at tmccloud@beecherschools.org. All questions may be submitted up to 72 hours prior to the bid date and time.
