Based on current and projected enrollment, this project is to provide relocatable classrooms to meet the capacity needs at various locations. The current and projected enrollments are evaluated, both in the fall and the spring, to identify which schools will need relocatables for the following year. Based on the availability of funding in July of each year, relocatable relocated and/or purchased during the summer will not be available for use at the opening of school in August of each year due to the amount of time necessary for construction. This project provides for the relocation of several relocatables or the purchase of two (2) double classroom units annually in FY 2024 - FY 2025, as determined in the spring of each year, based on actual and projected enrollment. The intention of the school system is to design and place units so that they are available for August of each year, which requires design funding to be funded a year prior to installation. This project is included in the county's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
