Site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a library in Saint Michaels, Maryland. Completed plans call for the addition of a 33,090-square-foot, one-story above grade library; for the construction of a library; for site work for a library; and for the renovation of a library.

The Scope of Work for this project consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, delivery, disposal, and other services required to construct the additions and renovations to the St Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free located at 106 Fremont Street, St. Michaels, Maryland 21663 in accordance with the specifications and plans completed by Davis, Bowen and Friedel, Inc. dated July 12, 2024. The contract for this project shall be awarded based on the lowest, responsible, and responsive lump sum Bid and the Bidders Qualifications and experience with projects similar in type and size. Project Description: the project includes but is not limited to the following: a. The Project consists of (3) single story additions totaling approximately 3,100 square feet, to an existing 7,880 square foot library. The combined addition and renovation will include additional space for book stacks and seating areas as well as two study rooms, a social computing area, and a quiet reading room. The Staff office will be expanded, and the staff areas will be renovated in place, including the kitchen and staff restroom. The public restrooms will be reconfigured and added onto to create three ADA compliant single occupancy restrooms. The meeting room will be expanded, and a new A/V system installed. A Fire suppression system, dedicated IT closet and electronic access system will be added as part of this renovation.
