Site work for a water / sewer project in Wembley, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Saskatoon Island Provincial Park (SIPP) is a large campground with over 100 campsites located approximately 25km west of Grande Prairie and experiences consistently high occupancy. The Park's dump station was constructed in the 1980s and has not received any major capital investment since then. The existing dump station consists of two bays, each with two standpipes for washing and filling at each bay (four total). The wastewater is collected in a sewage holding tank to be pumped out and hauled off site for disposal. The configuration of the current dump station frequently creates traffic back ups into the main roadway causing congestion and potential safety concerns. The failing infrastructure has resulted in increased maintenance efforts and cannot meet the demands of increased visitation. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking proposals from engineering consultants for detailed design and tender preparation services. Construction is planned for fall 2025. Further update pending award of contract. *Budget is unreleased.
