Renovation of a residential development in Aberdeen, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Earlier this year the City of Aberdeen purchased the building located on 22 Howard Street as an investment opportunity for the city. As part of this investment, the city is requesting proposals to renovate an 3100 +/- square foot shell building. This project is intended to renovate the existing vacant building to allow a future tenant to renovate as they see fit once a lease is reignited. The project consists generally of interior demolition, structural modifications/improvements and limited MEP modifications/upgrades, new roof, and limited cosmetic improvements. Anticipated Notice to Proceed: 8/13/2024 Substantial Completion: 1/1/2025 Request for Information questions: Due by 7/19/2024 COB A bid bond or certified check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount is required with the submission of the Bid. As soon as the Bid prices have been compared, the Owner will return the bonds of the all the except the three (3) lowest responsible bidders. The bonds of the A performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and certificate of insurance from the Bidder's insurance carrier and W-9 are required within ten (10) calendar days of notice of award.
