Owyhee Street Water and Sewer Improvements. Description: The Owyhee Street Water and Sewer project consists of replacing and installing water and sewer facilities along a portion of Owyhee Street. Work includes approximately 440 feet of 8-inch sewer pipe and 300 feet of 8-inch water main along with roadway restoration. Project Overview: The Work of this Contract comprises the construction of the sewer pipeline and potentially a new waterline specified and shown with all appurtenances. B. Project Elements n The major project elements for the utility improvements construction project are listed below: 1. Civil Site Work a. Earthwork excavation for new structures. b. Dewatering as necessary of excavations to accommodate concrete placement and pipe placement. c. Placement of all backfill including native and imported materials. d. Yard piping including new water line, fire hydrants, drainage sewer and other utilities as shown on the drawings. e. Rapid infiltration pipeline. f. Final grading for roadways, sidewalks, building slab-on-grade and retaining basins.
