Reference Number 0000357965 The work to be performed generally includes: sandblasting and recoating interior and exterior surfaces of the Cordillera West 1 Water Storage Tank which is a 400,000-gallon, above-ground, steel tank. Additional work includes spot repairs to the tank floor, installing a cathodic protection system, a new vent, a new hatch, a handrail, retaining wall repairs, minor site grading, and a new drain pipe and valve. Bids shall be submitted on a lump sum basis. The water storage tank will be drained and sandblasting performed on interior and exterior surfaces as surface preparation for new coating. Prior to coating, the tank will undergo several upgrades, including the addition of a new, larger hatch; additional handrailing to encircle the tank cover perimeter, a candycane-style vent to prevent snow blockage of airflow, installation of approximately 175 feet of 12" PVC drain, and a new mixer. The tank will also have a galvanic cathodic protection installed to prevent future corrosion and prolong the operational life of the tank.
