Reference Number: 0000358039 This lump sum bid item includes traffic signal work in conjunction with the 10th Street Adaptive project (23rd to 83rd Avenues) that calls for upgrading video detection and signal controller cabinets. This project is planned in two (2) phases in conjunction with replacing the adaptive operating system along this corridor. The first phase includes installing new "complete" video detection systems at fifteen (15) signalized intersections. The vehicle detection systems will be furnished by the City and will include the "complete" system composed of these principal items: signal vehicle detection devices (stop bar and advance detection capabilities), processor units, mounting hardware and all necessary cables and miscellaneous hardware for the operation of the system. This project also includes replacing the existing model 332 signal cabinets with 332-D cabinets at two (2) signalized intersections (i.e. 47th Avenue/10th Street, and 59th Avenue/10th Street). It also includes work to remove and relocated signal equipment in the signal controller cabinet at the 35th Avenue/10th Street intersection. This signal cabinet work at the three (3) intersections is provided on plans provided in Appendix A, B, and C. The second project phase will include removing the existing video detection system subject that the new adaptive operating system has been successively deployed. This work will include removing "complete" video detection systems and related accessory items at fifteen (15) signalized intersections and may be done in late fall/early winter (2024). Checks accompanying bids not accepted will be returned. The successful responsive and responsible bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond in the amount of the contract sum. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening on the bids without the consent of the City of Greeley, Colorado, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of the receiving the bids Bid acceptance and bid evaluation. Bids shall be evaluated based on the requirements set forth in the invitation for bids, which may include criteria to determine acceptability such as inspection, testing, quality, workmanship, delivery and suitability for a particular purpose.
