Renovation of a water / sewer project in Appleton, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Work consists of modernization / replacement of an existing freight elevator. The first base bid consists of modernizing the existing hydraulic freight elevator. There are two alternates specifying the extent of the modernization work. The second base bid describes the replacement of the elevator with a new electric traction freight elevator. Existing elevator hoistway will not change. o Door frames on masonry walls will not change. o Hoistway pit will not change. No bid will be opened unless the "Bidders Proof of Responsibility for 2024 is filed in the office of the City Clerk not later than Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Forms are included in specifications and are also available at the office of the City Clerk. Bidder will be required to have Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Cost of Bond shall be included in Bid. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
