The removal of the existing packaged indoor chiller, roof mounted air-cooled condenser, chilled water piping and primary and secondary chilled water pumps for the replacement with a new outdoor, aircooled chiller at the Bondurant Intermediate School. Chiller replacement shall include new air-cooled chiller, chilled water system pumps, glycol feed system, electrical connections for equipment, miscellaneous demolition, and concrete work for the exterior chiller pad. The project will also include a partial replacement of the building temperature controls system as well as the chiller plant and pump controls. A $100.00 deposit or current MBI/ABC Plans Request Form, made payable to Bondurant-Farrar CSD is required which will provide for a complete paper copy of the drawings and Project Manual specifications. Plan deposits will be refunded upon the return of the documents, in reusable condition to Action Reprographics within 14 days after the award of the project. Failure to comply will result in the Forfeiture of the plan deposit. Bids will be received and project constructed under a single prime contract. Bids must be on a lump sum basis. Shop Drawings and Procurement to begin September 2, 2024, Work on Site will begin June 2, 2025, and be substantially complete on or before August 15, 2025. Final Acceptance of the Project shall be on or before September 05, 2025. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft, or an approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Education of the Bondurant-Farrar CSD reserves the right to conduct such investigations as allowed by law to assist in the evaluation of and to establish the responsibility and qualifications of the apparent low bidders to perform the work in accordance with the contract documents to its satisfaction within the prescribed time.
