Description: The Scope of Work includes the replacement of the existing thresholds at Bayport Aerodrome. Work includes removal of existing concrete thresholds, installation of new concrete thresholds, backfilling, painting and re-turfing. Document Notes : No other forms of payment will be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Islip, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds for the full amount of the Contract. Contract term: 4 Consecutive Calendar Days (CCD) The Town may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Department of Purchasing is authorized to re-advertise for bids. Bidders must be licensed by the State of New York. Bidders shall make a good faith effort to obtain Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation of ten percent (10.0%) and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) participation of fifteen percent (15.0%) of the dollar value of the Contract in accordance with the New York State goals established by the grant.
