Reroute the 10-inch water line to an above-ground position on the exterior of the building where the new valve will be installed. b. Install a new above-ground 10-inch butterfly valve with signal gearbox tamper switch. Install a 10-inch - (90 degree) elbow after the new valve, followed by a 10-inch to 8-inch reducer. ***UG Flanges are Class 250 c. Cut a hole through the exterior wall to allow for connection of the 8-inch pipe to the interior fire system. d. Connect the new PIV to the existing water supply system, ensuring all joints are properly sealed and tested for leaks. e. Must all be installed as per manufacturer specifications and in compliance with California Building Codes and fire system codes. f. All materials must be constructed of ductile iron and meet the following approvals: UL, ULC, FM. Maximum working pressure: 21 BAR / 300 PSI (Maximum Testing Pressure: 600 PSI). Conforms to UL1091, ULC/ORD-C1091, and FM class standards. g. Backfill the excavation, compacting the soil in layers to prevent settlement. Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will not re-bid.
