Tuscola Intermediate School District is seeking bids for Tuscola Technology Centers greenhouse venting and irrigation upgrades. Venting upgrades include new motorized ridge and side vent actuators, new Bartlett climate controller, and new louver vent actuators. System is to be complete with all wiring for new motors and control systems. Must be able to control heating and cooling of greenhouse interior through climate controller. Installation of 390 count, 4 zone hanging basket irrigation system. All materials are as specified at/or compatible size and brand. All materials used shall follow manufacturer's guidance of install. Any modifications or changes necessary to complete the installation are the sole responsibility of the vendor. However, before any modifications or changes can be made to the site, the district must approve them. Changes for any major modifications, which might substantially affect the vendors proposal price, should be explained in a separate letter and supplied with the proposal form. Failure to notify the owner of required modifications in a letter shall be deemed as acceptance of the project and the vendor will be held responsible for all work required for installation. The purchaser reserves the right to revise quantities and/or reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. A Bid Bond is required for bids over $29,572. Bid Bond must be 5% of bid amount and included with bid submittal. Bids are to be firm for at least 90 days or until the project is completed. Bids will be awarded or denied by the Board of Education on Sept. 16, 2024. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for procurements in excess of $50,000. Performance and Payment Bonds must be at least 25% of contract amount. Winning bidder shall submit bond papers prior to work commencing.
