Renovation of a municipal facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Miami-Dade County is soliciting interested contractors to register to participate and perform in Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Bids under the MCC 7040 & 7360 Plan projects. Contractual Opportunities are continuously available for all businesses located in Miami-Dade who are interested in doing business with the County. The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. Internal Services Department - Marcela Rodriguez- Telephone No.: (305) 495-4647 SPCC Building - Diesel Fire Pump Replacement ESTIMATED COST: $240,136.00 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Fire Protection Systems SCOPE OF WORK: Prospective bidders shall carefully examine the site of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. The bidder shall be responsible for measuring and calculating the amount of work. The bid price is to include all required dumpsters for the removal and proper disposal of all work-related debris. The selected contractor shall provide all necessary services to obtain a building permit and complete all the tasks described in the project Scope of Work. The contractor services will include engineering design (including shop drawings), permitting and construction services. The project location is the Fire Pump Room for the SPCC Building located at 111 NW 1st ST Miami FL 33128. The Scope of services will include the following: 1. Furnishing and installation of a two-stage horizontal split case centrifugal fire pump, the new pump will be a Patterson Pump Company Model 6X5 DMD, UL/FM approved cast iron bronze fitted, 6" 125# flanged suction x 5" 250 # flanged discharge. The pump will be mounted on a steel base and flexibly coupled to a new diesel engine. 2. Furnish and install a new diesel engine manufactured by Clarke, Model JU6H-UFADTO Tier 3, UL/FM rated for 274 HP @ 2100 RPM, arranged for dual battery operation, complete with piped heat exchange assembly, residential muffler, lead acid batteries, battery cables, battery rack, 360 Gallon double wall fuel tank (Day Tank) with legs and a 4" Cla Valve main relief valve. 3. Provide and install a new Master Control Systems Model DEC-12N-115-XG4, 16A UL/FM diesel fire pump controller with 500 psi brass wet parts and suitable for wall mounting. 4. Furnish and install a new vertically mounted multistage jockey pump (Grundfos Model CR-1), driven by 1 hp, 3450 rpm vertical TEFC motor rated for 460/3/60 electrical service, controlled by a variable speed jockey pump controller (Master Control Systems Model JPVC). 5. Supply and install one new 8" suction OSY valve, one new grooved discharge control and check valve, and new bypass check and control valves grooved. 6. Furnish and install new fuel lines from the new Day Tank to diesel engine. 7. Supply new wire bundle from controller to diesel engine and new power wires from jockey controller to new jockey pump. 8. Complete removal and offsite disposal of all the replaced equipment and fittings including piping, electrical, and equipment accessories. 9. Provide all necessary labor and equipment to transfer existing diesel fuel into new day tank. 10. Perform a factory startup of the new pump with full flow test complete and produce the necessary reports and required certifications according to state and local codes. All requests for information (RFIs) shall comply with the Cone of Silence, Administrative Order 3-27 and shall be emailed to marcela.rodriugez@miamidade.gov with a copy to marcelo. diniester@miamidade.gov and clerkbcc@miamidade.gov. The deadline to receive RFIs from bidders is no later than 2 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Responses cannot be guaranteed for RFIs submitted past the established deadline. Procedural questions may be entertained by phone or during the Pre-Bid Meeting. Contractor must refer to the Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and associated project documents for the detail Scope of Work.
