Project Overview: The scope of work covers only the installation of storm doors on 26 residential apartment units in 13 buildings. All materials will be provided, this Quotation for Small Purchases (QSP) is for labor only. The primary objective is to enhance energy efficiency, improve insulation, and provide additional protection against harsh weather conditions for the residents. B. Pre-Installation Phase o Conduct site visits to assess each residential apartment building and determine the specific requirements for storm door installation. o Take measurements of existing door frames and entrances to ensure accurate fitting of storm doors. o Coordinate with building management and residents to schedule installation dates and obtain necessary permissions. C. Installation Process o Install the storm doors in a professional and workmanlike manner, adhering to the manufacturer's instructions and industry best practices. o Install storm doors securely and accurately, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. o Verify that all hardware, such as locks, hinges, and handles, are installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and are functioning smoothly. o Apply weatherproofing seals and caulking around the door frames to prevent air leakage and water ingress. o Ensure that the work areas are kept clean and free of debris during the installation process. Daily, the contractor shall properly dispose of all waste materials and leave the premises in a clean and orderly condition. All waste is to be disposed of off-site. Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority waste receptacles are not to be used for construction waste. o Be responsible for installing the storm doors according to the manufacturer's installation instructions and industry standards. Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority reserves the right to inspect the work at any stage and request corrective actions if necessary. D. Quality Assurance: o Test the functionality of each storm door, including opening, closing, and locking mechanisms. o Provide residents with instructions on proper maintenance and operation of the newly installed storm doors.
