Solid Waste Disposal Services The Bristol Virginia School Board (the Board) invites bids from qualified vendors to provide Solid Waste collection and disposal services to five (5) of the Bristol Virginia Public Schools' locations. The Bristol Virginia Public School Board requires solid waste collection and disposal services, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and transportation of trash/refuse from five (5) Bristol Virginia Public Schools' sites. Scope of Work: The Bidder will supply a total of eight (8) dumpsters for the entire school system. Each dumpster will have door locking capabilities. Placement of the dumpsters will be at the Bristol Virginia School Board's determination. The Bidder will remove and dispose of garbage for the number of dumpsters indicated at each school site at the frequency listed below: Bristol Virginia School Board Office, 280 Lee Street, Bristol, VA 24201 Supply one (1) - 8-yard dumpster with locking capabilities One (1) dumpster to be picked up once per week Virginia High School, 650 Long Crescent Drive, Bristol, VA 24201 Supply three (3) - 8-yard dumpsters with locking capabilities and one (1) cardboard recycle unit; 4 total Two (2) dumpsters in breezeway to be picked up daily Monday through Friday for the 180-day term of school in session and revert to one time a week during summer months when there is no school, the two (2) week Christmas Break and the one (1) week Spring Break One (1) dumpster in the Vocational Department to be picked up once per week during the entire year. One (1) cardboard recycle unit as needed Virginia Middle School, 855 Piedmont Avenue, Bristol, VA 24201 Supply two (2) - 8-yard dumpster with door locking capabilities and one (1) cardboard recycle unit; 3 total Two (2) dumpsters to be picked up daily Monday through Friday for the 180-day term of school in session and revert to one time a week during summer months when there is no school, the two (2) week Christmas Break and the one (1) week Spring Break One (1) cardboard recycle unit as needed. Virginia Intermediate School, 350 Van Pelt Circle, Bristol, VA 24201 Supply two (2) - 8-yard dumpsters with door locking capabilities and one (1) cardboard recycle unit; 3 total Two (2) dumpsters to be picked up daily Monday through Friday for the 180-day term of school in session and revert to one time a week during summer months when there is no school, the two (2) week Christmas Break and the one (1) week Spring Break One (1) cardboard recycle unit as needed Virginia Primary School (Formerly Joseph Van Pelt Elementary School), 350 Spring Hill Terrace, Bristol, VA. 24201 Supply two (2) - 8-yard dumpsters with door locking capabilities and one (1) cardboard recycle unit; 3 total Two (2) dumpsters to be picked up daily Monday through Friday for the 180-day term of school in session and revert to one time a week during summer months when there is no school, the two (2) week Christmas Break and the one (1) week Spring Break. This contract may be renewed by the Board upon written agreement of both parties for four (4) successive one year periods, under the terms of the current contract, and at a reasonable time prior to the expiration. The Bristol Virginia School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities and to contract as the best interest of the Bristol Virginia Public School System may require.
