Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % *The City of Holland reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities/informalities in the bids received, and to split the bid if deemed desirable by the City. The project is located at DeGraaf Nature Center at 600 Graafschap Road. The project consists of the replacement/reconstruction/removal of existing wooden and gravel pathways, as well as the creation of new pathways throughout the property. All existing wooden and composite walkway materials must be removed and disposed of properly. 2. Any substructure materials (posts and joists) shall be inspected and replaced as necessary 3. All new boardwalks shall be constructed to be 8' wide from outside edge to outside edge. 4. All new boardwalk decking shall be a grade of #2 or better 5. All boardwalk fasteners shall be consistent and be a suitable material for exterior use (galvanized, stainless, etc) 6. All structural hardware is to be galvanized. 7. Any walkable boardwalk areas must have a 4x4 treated rub rail attached on each edge of the boardwalk 8. Existing brush and plant materials may be widened to accommodate construction and equipment 9. Floating dock must be 16'x 20'. Please provide details of floats and deck hinge with your bid. 10. Chips and fines will be used for all gravel pathways and shall be installed to a depth of 4 inches compacted.
