The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to evaluate and select an A/E to assist the Owner in the performance of its obligations and enforcement of its rights during the design and construction of the MNSU-25-Crawford C Hall HVAC & Laundry Upgrades located at Minnesota State University, Mankato. This project is being undertaken by Residential Life to provide new laundry facilities, air conditioning and better radiant heat to student rooms and spaces within the Crawford C-Hall residence community. Crawford C-Hall has 1 apartment/office unit, 90 student rooms, 4 floor lounges, and 4 kitchenettes. The project includes the following anticipated scope of work: o Demo and conversion of 1 student room on each floor into new laundry rooms. Includes demo of existing and new electrical, mechanical, plumbing, framing, and finishes. o Installation of through wall sleeve for new AC units in student rooms. o Electrical work necessary to power new AC units and laundry facility. o Remove existing radiators. Furnish and install new floor mounted radiators. o Mechanical work necessary for new laundry room and new radiators, including all new hydronic piping and controls. o Installation of full Building Automation System. o Furnishing and installing new tops for partial-height chases. o Framing, plaster patching, and painting student rooms and stairwells as needed. o AC units and washers and dryers to be purchased by Owner (FFE). The project will be constructed in 1 phase. The Owner intends to use the Design/Bid/Build delivery method for this project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
