A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Pursuant to the Consultants' Competitive Negotiations Act Chapter 287.055 Florida Statutes The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority is seeking qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for planned expansion of the Commercial Terminal Aircraft Apron located at 3880 N.E. 39th Ave., Gainesville, FL. The anticipated expansion is approximately 10,000 square yards in area to be constructed of PCC with associated stormwater and drainage improvements. Design is anticipated to begin by the first quarter of 2025 and be completed by the end of 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2026, pending issuance of state and federal grants. The successful proposer will show prior experience in similar airport facilities and familiarity with applicable FAA Advisory Circulars. This is a qualifications-based selection process. The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted in response to this Request for any reason.
