OFFER DUE DATE IS BEING EXTEDED TO MONDAY, 09/09/24. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Research Facility located in Tifton, GA., has a requirement (subject to the availability of funds) to provide sufficient drainage to greenhouse of USDA Building 27 located at 123A Tobacco Rd, Tifton, GA 31793. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall provide all professional services necessary to to provide sufficient drainage to greenhouse of USDA Building 27 located at 123A Tobacco Rd, Tifton, GA 31793.
All work shall be performed in accordance with the SOW, terms, conditions, drawings
and specifications contained in this document. The contractor shall provide a
detailed technical proposal and cost breakdown for the entire project.
All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be
submitted to huron.virdenusda.gov by Aug 23, 2024. Questions that are not submitted in writing or
that are not submitted by Aug 23, 2024, may not receive a response.
Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless
submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment
Provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary (including dumpster/container if
applicable) to:
o Provide and install 6 floor drains per bay of greenhouse.
o Provide and install 1 centrally located sand trap per bay of greenhouse (any concrete areas cut or
removed during sand trap installation must be replaced)
o Connect all floor drains to sand trap
o Install discharge line 1 per bay
o Install main drain line externally from greenhouse and connect discharge lines (main drain line
must be dug in and graded toward creek behind greenhouse for water removal)
o Provide all quotes as turn-key completed work.
o Work shall be accomplished in accordance with all local, state and federal codes and regulations. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a size standard of $19.0 M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about August 06, 2024. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time
