Citywide Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Project, Project CC24-125 (the "Project"). This Notice Inviting Bids seeks submittals of bid proposals for rehabilitation of approximately fourteen (14) miles of streets and two (2) public parks parking lots. The Scope of Work further includes the associated traffic control, crack fill, crack seal, removal of pavement markings, slurry seal treatments, fiber microsurfacing, and installation of new pavement markings. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by: (a) cash; (b) a certified or cashier's check; or (c) a bidder's bond made payable to City of Victorville in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Base Bid as bid security. Said Bid Guaranty shall be enclosed in the same envelope as the Bid Proposal and no bid shall be considered unless such Bid Guaranty is enclosed therewith. The successful Bidder will be also required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Base Bid. The Design Engineer has calculated an estimate of probable construction costs for this project. The City does not wish to publicize the engineer's estimate of the project cost since this information may tend to influence the number and nature of bids received. However, for the bidder's convenience, the City will publicize that the engineer's estimate for the base bid falls within a range of $1,500,000 to $1,600,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
