The intent of this project is to provide full and complete contract tree maintenance services for City-owned trees adjacent to streets, in medians and within parks throughout the City and that such trees be kept in a safe, vigorous, and aesthetically attractive condition at all times. Work also includes tree inventory data collection of work performed at existing and at new site locations and maintenance of inventory system. All tree pruning shall be performed in accordance with ANSI A300 tree care pruning standards, the standards of the ISA Tree Pruning Best Management Practices, and the "Structural Pruning: A Guide for the Green Industry", Edward Gilman, Brian Kempf, Nelda Matheny and Jim Clark, 2013 Urban Tree Foundation, Visalia CA., and shall be overseen by the City Project Manager responsible for City trees or designee. The Successful Proposer shall furnish all labor, equipment. materials. and supervision to perform tree maintenance as described in this solicitation. In addition to any and all relevant City, State and Federal permits and licenses required for the performance of the work required by this contract and prior to award of contract, and without additional expense to the City, the Contractor shall hold a valid and current California C-27, C-61/D49 Contractor License, and a City of Milpitas Business License. Question Submission Deadline: August 14, 2024, 2:00pm. Question Response Deadline: August 16, 2024, 2:00pm. Background The City is approximately 13.6 square miles divided into eight zones. There are approximately 18,200 City street and park trees located adjacent to City streets and in 36 City parks. TERM OF AGREEMENT Initial Term. Unless otherwise set forth in this Agreement or unless this paragraph is subsequently modified by a written amendment to this Agreement, the term of this Agreement shall begin on September 3, 2024 and extend through June 30, 2027.
