The work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 217 lineal feet of 12" and 30" diameter pipe sewers and appurtenances to be constructed. Located west of Interstate 70 and north of Salisbury Street, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. The District shall pay the Contractor for all work done on the basis of final measurement computations, for all work acceptably completed according to this Request for Bids at the Unit Prices shown on the attached Bid Proposal Form. Existing street void nearly centered on Station 1+60, north of the intersection of Penrose Street and Blair Avenue, shall be restored as applicable to current City of St. Louis standards. Project Plans, Technical Specifications, Report of Geotechnical Exploration and Log of Borings are attached. All work performed shall be in accordance with the current version of the "Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Standard Construction Details for Sewers and Drainage Facilities" and the attached documents. As the rate of progress and time of completion are essential conditions of this project, the Contractor shall commence and continuously and actively pursue the work upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall fully complete all work within 90 calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Since the Engineers Estimate is over $50,000, the selected Contractor shall also provide a performance, labor and material payment bond in the full amount of the contract price, executed by a surety or insurance company satisfactory to the District. The attached contract bond (combination performance, labor and material payment bond) can be used. The District has established a Subcontractor participation Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal of 10.00% utilization for Non-Building Construction contracts in the amount of $50,000 or more. Exceptions will be noted in the contract documents, when required. The District has established a Subcontractor participation Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) goal of 10.00% utilization for Non-Building Construction contracts in the amount of $50,000 or more. Exceptions will be noted in the contract documents, when required. The District reserves the right to reject any or al bide and to waive any manor informality or regularity in bats received.
